In recent years, pan-tumor NTRK gene fusions have emerged as targets for cancer therapy. This is an open call for FFPE tissue blocks to help us (CPQA-AQCP) build a small tissue microarray for the purpose of NTRK IHC proficiency testing as well as providing NTRK IHC validation assistance.
• Our focus is on curating secretory breast carcinoma and/or salivary MASC blocks. We have selected these tissue types because of the higher incidence of NTRK Fusions in these tumors. Confirmation of a NTRK gene fusion in the block is not required by the donor lab for submission to this project.
• We will be most happy to receive FFPE from other tumour types with a confirmed NTRK fusion.
• FFPE block(s) and an accompanying H&E slide from each block is required. Four 0.6mm cores will be taken from the block and the block returned on request
Why join the collaboration:
• Work with a renowned global EQA/PT provider to support NTRK IHC proficiency testing
• Be eligible to free participation in the CPQA pan-TRK EQA program should your lab already offer an NTRK IHC service
• Receive access to TMA slides and assistance for labs who wish to develop and validate Pan-TRK IHC
Please note: This collaboration is open until March 26th but may close once 20 labs have registered interest and been enrolled.
To be eligible to participate in this collaboration please ensure that:
1. Your lab will be able to share one FFPE block and an accompanying H&E slide with confirmed or unconfirmed TRK fusions
• CPQA address details will be shared on enrollment onto the DXRX collaboration zone
2. Lab assay details reflect
• Current NTRK testing methods and turnaround times
• Q1, Q2, Q3 2020 NTRK volumes for indications covered within your service
*Please note, where multiple assays are available in-house, these must be logged as individual assays per technology
> If the asker cancels more than 1 day(s) before the start of the booking, he is reimbursed 100 % of the amount paid
> If the asker cancels less than 1 day(s) before the start of the booking , he is reimbursed 50 % of the amount paid
